Most of you know that a few weeks ago I was in Italy taking a workshop. While I was there I had a few realizations about some things:
1. I have a career where I do what I love and not a lot of people can say that. I feel lucky.
2. My career takes me places that I never thought I would be able to get to, and I get to work with some really amazing clients. I feel blessed.
3. My passion for photography started back in the days when digital was just a dream. I love film.
I was so inspired by the people I was with and the beauty of the Tuscan countryside that I decided to go back to my roots and shoot some film. Some of you may not know this but back in my early days of JK Photography, I was shooting weddings, kids, architecture and really anything that would stand in front of me, on film. I had a dark room that I would print my images in and I really believed that art was made not only through the lens of a camera but in the darkroom as well.
You are probably wondering where I am going with this right? Well you will just have to wait a few more days to find out my friends
Big additions are coming and I cannot wait to share these exciting new revelations with you!
(All of the images below were shot on my medium format camera with either black and white or slide film, keep in mind these are from years ago, lol)
