Christina + Tim: 7.4.09 Wedding Preview

Wow, I am not even sure where to start with this blog post today! Please be patient with this one, there are a LOT of images :)

Christina and Tim, who have been dating since high school, dreamed about their wedding for many years. LOTS of thought and preparation had been put into every little detail to make this wedding what it was. As a wedding photographer I over hear random conversations though out the day between friends and family. This is what I heard repeatedly ” WOW, I can’t believe they did all of this themselves. Look at these flowers and signs and all the thought that went into this wedding. What a great couple they are.” I think this was by far the most unique wedding I have shot this year!

The ceremony took place at Tim’s family farm down in Sturgis, MI. When we (Jerrad, Darrin and I) arrived at the family house we were greeted by a GIANT clydesdale enjoying a lovely cold water bath! Darrin and Jerrad dropped me off and then went to photograph the boys shooting skeet! I entered the house and was immediately hugged and welcomed by all the women in the home. What a great feeling that is!! I looked around the house (which is a darling little 100 year old farm house) and saw wedding detail after wedding detail and the more the I looked the more in love with this wedding I became, modern-country all the way!

I have so many fond memories of this day and we really enjoyed every minute we were there! As your looking through the images below, you will see during the ceremony that there are some initials carved in the tree right over the spot where Christina and Tim said their vows. This was carved a year ago when the couple decided to have their wedding at the farm. I thought it was the perfect topper to all the thought they put into this day.  I would also like to mention the cake and flower people who did an OUTSTANDING job! Cake Sensations by Laura..these cakes were probably the most creative and delicious yumms I have ever had the pleasure of eating!! I especially loved the flowers that Ann Benjamin created and really brought the whole thing together! If you would like to contact Ann (which I highly recommend that you do) her email address is annbenjamin3@yahoo.com .

Christina and Tim, this was an unforgettable day for us and we truly enjoyed getting to know you and your families. I cannot say enough about the kindness and open arms we were greeted with through out the day. I will treasure this for a lifetime :) Enjoy your preview!!
